Modesto Maschi


Lewiston – Modesto”Marty” Maschi, 75, of Beech Hill Road, Auburn, went peacefully to be with our Heavenly Father on Sunday, May 7, with his loving family by his side.

He was born in the heart of New York City’s “Little Italy, ” the son of Amedeo and Delfina Ferrari Maschi.

In his life, he worked for almost 40 years as a building superintendent at 140 Nassau St. in New York City’s financial district. He was noted in his field as having the ability and knowledge to manage any aspect and solve any problem in the building trades industry.

Among his many hobbies, he was an avid champion skeet shooter, who won many national titles. He lived his life to the fullest, including skeet shooting on the same day he had to be hospitalized.

On April 28, 1951, he married the love of his life, Theresa, and they celebrated 55 wonderful years together.

He is survived by his loving wife, Theresa; his loving sons, Walter Maschi, Michael Maschi and his wife, Angela.

He was a great father, loving husband and vibrant man who will be greatly missed by all. We have been blessed to have known him. Many thanks to the caring and supportive staff at Central Maine Heart and Vascular Institute.
