FARMINGTON — The Mt. Blue Regional school district has announced the spring concert season in area schools. Performing at each concert will be the school choruses, bands and orchestras. All concerts free and open to the public.
Beginning the concert season on Wednesday, May 26, will be the student musicians and artists at the Mt. Blue High School for the annual music and at show. Art displays will be available for viewing at 6 p.m. and the concert will begin at 7 p.m. at the high school. The students are under the direction of Debbie Farley and Roger Bisallion, art teachers and Steven Muise, Karen Beacham and Carol Shumway, music teachers. Pianist for the concert will be Patricia Hayden.
On Thursday, May 27, the student musicians and artists at the Mt. Blue Middle School will present their music concert and art show at 7 p.m. in the middle school gym. The students are under the direction of art teacher Danielle Guerrette and music teachers Jim Perkins, Darryl Pike and Steve Muise.
On Wednesday, June 2, the elementary music ensembles from the Academy Hill School will present their spring concert under the direction of Lindsay Reinstein, Darryl Pike and Steve Music. The concert will begin at 1:30 p.m. in the school gym.
On Friday, June 4, the Cape Cod Hill School student musicians will present their performances under the direction of Lindsay Reinstein, Karen Beacham and Nancy Beacham. The concert will begin at 1:30 p.m. in the school gym.
The Cascade Brook School will present two concerts. The first concert will feature the fourth- and fifth-grade music ensembles at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 8. On Thursday, June 10, the sixth-grade student musicians will present their concert for the public at 1:30 p.m. Music teachers at the Cascade Brook School are Nancy Beacham, Karen Beacham and Mark Phillips.
