WILTON — The Mt. Blue RSD music department has announced the upcoming spring concerts in the district school. On Wednesday, June 1, there will be two concerts. The first will take place at the Academy Hill School in Wilton. This concert will feature the 4th-, 5th- and 6th-grade bands, choruses and orchestras under the direction of Darryl Pike, Lindsay Burke and Steven Muise. The concert will begin at 1:30 p.m. in the school gym.
Wednesday, June 1, will be the Mt. Blue High School fine arts night featuring both the art and music departments under the direction of art teachers Deborah Fraley and Roger Bisallion and music teachers Karen Beacham, Carol Shumway and Steven Muise. Student art work will be displayed in the lobby and halls beginning at 5 p.m. followed by the high school band, chorus and orchestra concert beginning at 7.
The Cape Cod Hill School concert will take place on Thursday, June 2, at 1:30 p.m. in the school gym. Under the direction of music teachers Lindsay Burke, Nancy Beacham and Karen Beacham, the elementary 4th-, 5th- and 6th-grade bands, choruses and orchestras will perform.
The Mt. Blue Middle School fine arts night will take place on Thursday, June 2, with student art work available for viewing at 5 p.m. under the direction of art teacher Danielle Guerrette. The band, chorus and orchestras will perform in concert at 7 under the direction of Darryl Pike, Lindsay Burke and Steven Muise.
Cascade Brook School 4th-grade orchestra and 5th-grade band, chorus and orchestra concert will be presented Friday, June 3, at 10 a.m. and 1:45 p.m. under the direction of Nancy Beacham, Karen Beacham and Mark Phillips. The concert will be held in the school cafetorium.
Concluding the spring concert series is the Cascade Brook School 6th-grade band, chorus and orchestra concert on Wednesday, June 8, at 10 a.m. and 1:45 p.m. in the school auditorium.
All Mt. Blue Regional School concerts are free and open to the public.
