1936 – 2014
SILVER SPRINGS, Fla. — Muriel A. Croteau, 78, of Silver Springs, Fla., passed away Sunday, Dec. 14, at Marion County Hospice, with her family by her side.
She was born in Woodstock on Oct. 4, 1936, the daughter of Harlan Stanley Andrews and Linnie Alura Dudley. She attended school in Woodstock.
She was the owner-operator of Trap Corner Store with Richard Baker from 1964 to 1972. She later became a CNA and a CMT, working at area nursing homes.
She was also a member of Ring-McKeen Post No. 151 of West Paris, Granite Chapter No. 115 of West Paris and the Universalist Church. She loved the outdoors and enjoyed snowmobiling, boating, fishing and hunting. She also enjoyed spending her winters in Silver Springs, Fla., and summers at her camp on Pleasant Pond in Sumner.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Croteau, of Silver Springs, Fla.; her two sons, David and his wife, Shelly Baker, and Randy Baker of West Paris; daughters, Linda Raiamaiki of Daytona Beach, Fla., and Cindy Nadeau of Berwick; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by two brothers, Ormie and Jimmy Andrews; and a son, William Baker.
