HEALDSBURG, Calif. — Muriel Perry Record was born in Hebron on April 28, 1921, to Leslie and Helen Perry. She died in Healdsburg, Calif., on Saturday, Dec. 20.
She moved to Healdsburg, Calif., in 1956 with her family. In 1960, she attended Santa Rosa Junior College and became a LVN. She practiced for 20 years at Healdsburg General Hospital and retired in 1982.
She is survived by her brother, Theodore Perry, of Buckfield; her sister, Esther and husband, Stanley Judd, of Hebron; and her three children, Jim and wife, Jody Record, of Reno, Nev., Linda Nichols of Santa Rosa, Calif., and Janice Record of Santa Rosa, Calif. She leaves behind nine grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Muriel was predeceased by her parents; two of her siblings, Mary Perry Harris and Flora Perry Kieser; and her great-granddaughter, Kimberly Jones. She was also predeceased by her beloved husband of 70 years, Bernard Record, who passed away on April 10, 2010.
She was a devoted nurse and her family was the joy of her life. Her hobbies were knitting, sewing and crocheting. She kept busy with her hobbies, keeping up with all those new grandbabies as they came along.
Our memories of the happy times with our mother and with her grandchildren are a blessing and we know she is looking down on us with that twinkle in her eyes. It’s not goodbye — it’s “see you later.”
