FLORIDA — Nancy Lee “MeMe” Hunter, 58, of Oxford, passed away Saturday, May 14.
She was born in Lewiston on Aug. 24, 1952, daughter of the late William E. Hunter and the late Lois (Tootie) Hunter. She grew up in Auburn and graduated from Edward Little High School.
She made her life in Mechanic Falls, with her two daughters and life-long partner, Paul Hackett. She was a member of the Mechanic Falls Fireman Ladies Auxiliary and enjoyed playing cards, fishing, boating and camping with family and friends.
She worked as a bus driver for the Auburn School Department for 15-plus years and then for Community Concepts for two years.
She is survived by her daughters, Tracy Francis and her husband, Marshall, of Oxford, Jackie Hall and her husband, Landon, of Oxford; grandchildren, Jacob, Sasha, Walker, Cooper and Gabriela, who she adored tremendously; several stepgrandchildren; sisters, Kathi Magno and husband, Jimmy, of Topsham and Sue Hunter of Norway; a brother, William Hunter and wife, Katie, of Auburn; an uncle, Calvin Hunter and wife, Judy, of Auburn; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents; and a nephew, Eric Albiston.
