AUBURN – A celebration of life service for Nathan Thistlewaite who died May 20, was held Thursday from the Memorial Chapel of Dillingham & Son with the Rev. Jack Daniels presiding. A delegation of Nathan’s eighth-grade classmates led by teachers of Minot Consolidated School, Karen Nichols and Janice Rawson had students read passages of a book they had written called, “We’ll Be Missing You” of which the following was read by; Michael Whalen, Chapter One; Billy Clark, Chapter Two; Hannah Horrigan, Chapter Three, Chantel Scott, Chapter Four; Katelyn Reid, Chapter Five; Scott Blossom Chapter Six; Josh Dumont, Chapter Seven; Sawyer Cesare, Chapter Eight; and Sherry Arseneault, Chapter Nine.It should also be noted that Nate’s fellow classmates cancelled an overnight class trip to Boston so they could honor him with their tributes. The song, “I’ll Be Missing You,” by Sean “Puffy” Combs concluded the class presentation. Words of Remembrance were also shared by Nathan’s oncologist, Dr.Craig Hurwitz, M.D. of Maine Medical Center and Nathan’s godmother, Lil Aston. Burial will be private and at a later date. Arrangements by the family-owned Dillingham & Son Memorial Chapel & Tribute Center.
