AUBURN — Nealeen L. Rogers, 90, of Bolster Heights Residential Care Facility, Auburn, died Monday, Dec. 4.
She was born in Auburn on July 31, 1927, the daughter of Clarence Neal Titcomb and Stella (Welch) Titcomb. She graduated from Edward Little High School, Class of 1945. She married Col. William S. Rogers on May 2, 1953.
She was a co-owner of the Wayfarer Restaurant in Lisbon Falls from 1957 to 1960 and a co-owner of Rogers Insurance Agency from 1961 to 1981, where she was employed.
She loved spending time with family, hunting, fishing, dancing, joking around and spreading love and joy to all! She has a smile that lit up the room, a heart that loved all, a sparkle in her eye that spread happiness and a personality that made everyone love her back. She also enjoyed traveling out of the country with her husband and the Rotary Club.
She is survived by a brother, Robert Titcomb; son, Gary Rogers and wife, Diane; daughter, Robin Arsenault and husband, Dale; five grandchildren, Heath, Stacey, Michelle, Kelly and Marci; eight great-grandchildren, Donnie, Kayleigh, Danielle, Blaize, Noah, Brady, Charlie and Justin; and one great-great-grandchild, Jayden.
She was predeceased by her husband, Col. William S. Rogers; and two sisters, June Therriault and Naureen Gilmore.
Our family wants to say a huge thank-you to all the loving, caring staff at Bolster Heights Residential Care Facility. You are all amazing people and Mom loved you all as family. You were her family and home.
We also want to say thank you to Beacon Hospice. Your staff took such great loving and gentle care of our mom these last few months of her life. We thank GOD for everyone who cared for her and loved her.
