New Auburn association to meet

AUBURN — The first meeting of the United New Auburn Association will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 11, at the Barker Arms Senior Housing building, 143 Mill St.

The basis of the meeting is to bring together both area business and citizens. The association will be chaired by Leroy Walker with vice chair Stephen Martelli.

Items to be discussed at the meeting will be bringing events to the local area, such as a Cruise Night and Car Show, the Auburn Community Band concert, a neighborhood history walk and a Christmas celebration and tree-lighting ceremony.

Other possible items will include street lighting, a flag pole for Vincent Square, crosswalk painting and flowers and shrubs for the downtown area. They are just a few of the ideas and items to be on the table for discussion at the meeting.

All New Auburn residents and business people are invited to attend and voice their opinions.

For more information or questions, contact Martelli at 786-9116 or e-mail [email protected] during business hours.
