I write in response to the letter, April 22, from Thomas Hart.
I was born and have always lived in Auburn. The wall that has been built on South Main Street at the intersection of Broad Street is much better than looking at a garage in the side of that hill with a tree looking like it would fall into the road at any time.
The intersection of Pownal Road and Harmon’s Corner Road has also been improved. It was one of Auburn’s most dangerous. It took a group of neighbors to attend a few Council meetings with Auburn Police Chief Phil Crowell helping to get those stop signs. It was very difficult to cross Pownal Road without getting hit because of the small hill and cars going 60 miles per hour. A day care center and cars are much safer now.
