NEW GLOUCESTER — A New Gloucester man was seriously injured Thursday in a car accident on Sabbathday Road, police said.

Arnold Dean Eldridge, 59, of 747 Snow Hill Road was driving a 1997 Volkswagen Jetta southbound at 9:27 p.m. His car crossed the centerline and launched over a snowbank and flew through the air.

When it landed, it struck a parked vehicle, which was pushed into another parked vehicle.
