PASSADUMKEAG, Maine — Police are asking for the public’s help in the search for a local man who left his house early Saturday morning and has not been seen since, a press release from Penobscot Regional Communications Center states.
Gerald Crommett, 75, left his residence on Pleasant Street at around 5 a.m. and was heading to Enfield in a dark green or dark blue 2010 GMC C15 pickup truck with the license plate number 794098.
“Mr. Crommett is a diabetic,” the statement says.
The missing man is related to state Sen. Andre Cushing, from Hampden who represents District 33. Cushing also served two terms as a state representative.
“My father-in-law Gerald Crommett has been missing since early this morning in the Passadumkeag-Howland area,” Cushing posted on his Facebook page. “He is driving a black GMC pickup truck. He was headed to his bait shop about 5 a.m. Authorities are searching for him. Your help is appreciated in spreading the word to those in the area.”
Anyone with information about the missing man is asked to contact the Deputy Patty McLaughlin of the Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office, at 945-4636.
