Coach: Matt Clark (third year)
Last year's record: 10-9, lost in Western Class D quarterfinal
Returning players: Seniors — Alex Morton (6-1 guard/forward), Kyle Haley (6-0 forward); Juniors — A.J. Elmes (5-9 guard), Josh Adams (6-3 center); Sophomores — Mike Haley (6-1 forward), Tomas Clinch (5-8 guard), David Bachelder (6-0 forward).
Key losses: Regan Sargent, Zeke Hall, Jordan Richard, George Seaman.
Promising newcomers: Seniors — Luke Elliott (6-3 forward/center), Randy Thompson (5-7 guard).
Outlook: The Lakers threw a tournament scare into top-seeded Forest Hills last year. Now, they rebuild with Morton as the only returning starter. Elliott is back after a one-year absence and will provide needed size down low. The new faces saw plenty of playing time off the bench last year. With two-thirds of the teams making the Western Class D playoffs, Rangeley should have a good shot to return to the civic center.
Coach's comment: "I look for us to be very competitive with most of the teams in our conference." — Coach Matt Clark
