Daigle’s passenger, Patricia Ensigh of New Boston, N.H., was taken to Rumford Hospital and was later flown to Central Maine Medical Center.

Thomas and his wife, Allison Smith, 49, were taken to Rumford Hospital with injuries that were not considered life-threatening.

Route 2 was closed for three hours. No charges have been filed, and the accident remains under investigation.
