APD lieutenant retires

AUBURN — An Auburn Police Department lieutenant, Paul Labarre, retired Feb. 28, after 31 years of distinguished service with the department.

Labarre, originally from Connecticut, has been employed by the department since Oct. 4, 1982. He dedicated his law enforcement career to the Patrol Division, retiring as a patrol watch commander.

During his tenure, he led by example and served with honor, integrity, loyalty and excellence. A trusted mentor and loyal public servant, he has had a positive impact on both his peers and the citizens of Auburn.
