Rotundo named Legislator of Year by NASW

AUGUSTA — The National Association of Social Workers recently honored Rep. Margaret Rotundo of Lewiston with its Legislator of the Year Award for 2012.

It cited her commitment and dedication to the well-being of Maine’s most vulnerable residents, particularly the elderly, women and children.

Rotundo was present at the awards luncheon and made brief remarks to the gathering of social workers from throughout Maine. NASW is the leading professional association for social workers throughout the country. The Maine chapter is one of 54 nationwide and works to support the mission of social workers and their professional standing.
