Bob Libby, left, and Price Gendron, both of Auburn, demonstrate the welding simulator in a mobile classroom at WahlcoMetroflex in Lewiston on Thursday. Libby and Price are among 13 welding students graduating from the Maine Manufacturing Extension Partnership program. The program provides customized training for careers in manufacturing offered in high-tech, mobile classrooms and is designed to boost the skills of Maine workers. The inaugural class focused on welding to meet WahlcoMetroflex's needs. All graduates received job offers from the engineering and manufacturing firm.
