LEWISTON — Androscoggin Bank announces that Rhonda Ferrara has joined the bank team as senior vice president of risk and compliance.
She will oversee development, implementation and administration of the Androscoggin Bank risk management program. She brings more than 10 years of risk management experience, focused on regulatory compliance, audit and internal control functions.
In her new position, Ferrara will be responsible for identifying and documenting risks and evaluating and developing appropriate mitigating strategies to contain the risks to manageable levels. She will also serve as chairwoman of the Information Security Committee, act as liaison to the Risk Management Committee of the board and provide enterprise wide regulatory guidance and oversight in the areas of compliance, BSA and CRA.
Previously, Ferrara served as vice president manager of compliance and risk administration at The Bank of Maine, where she was responsible for community reinvestment, anti-money laundering, quality assurance and enterprise risk management programs. Her experience in banking also includes leadership positions at Accume Partners, TD Banknorth and Skowhegan Savings Bank, among others.
Ferrara received a bachelor’s degree in business administration with an academic concentration in finance from the University of Southern Maine.
