LEWISTON — Anthony Ronzio has rejoined the Sun Media Group as director of its New Media Department. This new position is responsible for growing Sun Media Group's online offerings for the benefit of readers and advertisers. Ronzio will lead this effort across all Sun Media Group properties.

One of Maine's oldest, locally-owned media companies, Sun Media Group publishes the Sun Journal, The Forecaster, The Bethel Citizen, Norway Advertiser-Democrat, Rumford Falls-Times, Franklin Journal, Livermore Falls Advertiser, Rangeley Highlander, Penobscot Times and Employment Times, as well as Mainehomeseller.net and Myjobwave.com.
Prior to rejoining Sun Media Group, Ronzio was editor and publisher of two Maine daily newspapers: the Kennebec Journal of Augusta and the Morning Sentinel of Waterville. He was the editorial page editor of the Sun Journal from 2006 through 2009, during which time he earned state and regional awards for his writing and reporting.
A native of Rhode Island, Ronzio has been working in print and online journalism in Maine since 2001. He is a 2001 graduate of Syracuse University, where he earned bachelor's degrees in magazine journalism and history, and is the former president and current treasurer and legislative affairs chairman for the Maine Press Association.
Ronzio and his family reside in Hallowell.
