Mechanics Savings helps kick off Young Entrepreneurs Academy

Mechanics Savings Bank President Rick Vail, left, presents Androscoggin County Chamber of Commerce President Chip Morrison with a check for $5,000. Mechanics is the founding sponsor of the Young Entrepreneurs Academy in Androscoggin County, being instituted at Edward Little High School and Lewiston High School this fall. The academy takes students in grades nine through 12 through the process of starting and running a real business over the course of a full academic year, working in close cooperation with local leaders of industry, community members and educators.
