Car, truck crash in Durham

DURHAM — No injuries were reported and combined damages were estimated at $8,200 in a car-truck rear-end collision Saturday night on Royalsborough Road at the intersection of Old Brunswick Road.

Maine State Trooper Tyler Stevenson identified the drivers as Larry Emerson, 54, of Durham and Kevin Mulherin, 22, of Greene. According to Stevenson, both vehicles were southbound on Royalsborough Road, and Emerson had stopped, waiting to make a left turn onto Old Brunswick Road. Mulherin, who was behind him, was unable to stop in time to avoid a collision and struck the rear of Emerson's pickup.

Damage was estimated at $8,000 to Mulherin's 2006 Toyota Corolla and at $200 to Emerson's 1996 Chevrolet pickup in the 7:24 p.m. crash. No charges were filed.
