DURHAM — An overturned pulp truck shut down Route 9 for most of Wednesday morning as crews cleaned up logs and police investigated.
Douglas Goucher of Wayne was driving through the intersection of Route 9 and Swamp Road at about 9:45 a.m. when he lost control of the truck and it flipped over, Maine State Police said.
Investigators say Goucher was hauling logs for Ted Goucher & Son of Wayne and driving too fast as he entered the intersection.
He was taken to Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston where he was examined and later released.
Durham Fire and Rescue responded to tend to Goucher. Police blocked the intersection as the logs and truck were hauled away.
The crash remained under investigation.
