Bates College plans to hold its second annual Arts Crawl on Friday, Jan. 27, despite the stormy weather forecast. The free event showcases the creativity of more than 100 students in film, dance, music, spoken word and theater at the Lewiston campus. Beginning at 4:30 p.m., activities will take place at Chase Hall, Coram Library, Roger Williams Hall, Olin Arts Center and Pettengill Hall. Asia Night, featuring Bollywood numbers, performance art and music performances, will be presented at 7:30 p.m. in Schaeffer Theatre, 305 College St. and at the same time Saturday. Outdoor activities, including a cappella singing, may be moved indoors to the Commons Fireside Lounge and Olin Arts Center, downstairs near the bottom-floor entrance.
