LEWISTON — The local man who pleaded guilty in December to abusing a teenage boy is looking to the courts for protection against the former college basketball coach he alleges abused him in 2002 when he was a teen.
Zach Tomaselli, 23, of 425 College St., filed paperwork Monday morning seeking a temporary order for protection from harassment with Lewiston District Court. In his complaint, Tomaselli alleges that former Syracuse assistant basketball coach Bernie Fine has called his home and cellphone several times to "harass, terrorize and intimidate me at all costs."
Tomaselli is the third accuser in the Bernie Fine sex scandal. He pleaded guilty late last year to sexually abusing a boy he met through a local summer camp.
In his complaint, Tomaselli alleges the caller mentioned details only Bernie Fine would know about the alleged 2002 abuse in a Pittsburgh hotel room.
The temporary protection order will be in effect until March 6, when there will be a hearing on a permanent order.
