PHOTO: Trout fishing in Monmouth

Daryn Slover

Roland Brousseau of Lewiston walks back to his truck after drilling a fishing hole on Cochnewagan Lake in Monmouth on Tuesday. Brousseau started fishing at 8 a.m. and as of 1:30 p.m., he had not landed a fish. "It beats sitting at home," he said. "Coming out here gets rid of the cabin fever." Brousseau was hoping to catch one of the trout lurking under the 16 inches of ice beneath him and his truck.
