In rexcent Bantam travel hockey action, the Maine Gladiators swept four games, outscoring their opponents 21-6.

The opening game produced a hard-fought, 1-0 road win over the Berlin (N.H.) Sabres.

Back-to-back games with the Biddeford Breakers resulted in 3-1 and 7-4 victories. The teams traded goals in the first period of the opener, then went scoreless in the second stanza before the Gladiators secured the win in the third.

The local team exploded for six goals in the opening period of the encore. The Breakers answered with three straight, but it wasn't enough to overcome the early onslaught.

The Gladiators weren't done scoring. They capped the run with a 10-1 rout of the  New Hampshire Cyclones at Androscoggin Bank Colisee.

Kyle Morin led the way for the Gladiators with five goals and three assists during the winning streak. Austin Roy had four goals and three assists. Griffin Wade chalked up three goals and three assists.

Jozef Frechette, Ryley Austin and Matt Brooks tallied two goals apiece. Frechette fashioned four assists.

Kyle Ullrich, Kyle Lussier and Reid Pomerleau each chipped in a goal.

Ullrich, Kiana Melvin and Conrad Grimmer each provided four assists, with Tyler O'Conner adding a helper.

Kyle Welsh and Ridge Servidio swapped time in goal and were stellar during the stretch, combining for a 1.50 goals-against average.
