Mid-Maine Tritons 14U AAU travel baseball team tryouts
The newly formed Mid-Maine Tritons 14U AAU travel baseball team will soon be hosting try-outs for the 2013 NEAAU spring season. The program is open to players who will be ages 13 & 14 in the upcoming NEAAU season which runs from early April through early June. The team will also be competing in non-divisional games against AAU teams from across New England through August. There will also be opportunities to participate in pre-season & post-season tournaments. There will be out of state travel involved for some games. Practices and home games will take place in the central Maine area and will commence in mid-December.
The cost of participation for the 2013 season is $900 per player which includes each player’s full uniform, league fees, field fees, umpires, equipment, insurance, etc. Travel costs are the responsibility of each player’s family. Our ability to keep the player cost at its current level is offset by making tournament participation optional at a small additional per player participation fee which is typically about $50-75/player per tournament.
Players interested in the try-out process should contact the team either by e-mail at mmtritons@gmail.com or by phone at 207.344.7007 (evenings and weekends). There will be a $20 per player/per session fee to help offset the cost of facilities. This fee can later be applied to the program cost upon making the 14 player roster. It is non-refundable otherwise.
