Maine High School Bowling Championshipsd

On Saturday, Feb. 16 in Portland the Maine State High School Bowling individual championships were decided. Sixty of the best bowlers competed in a two game roll off to narrow the field to 15 bowlers in each division. In the women's the first seed was Becka Reynolds of Spruce Mountain, second seed was Macayla Donna of Bangor High, third seed was Brooke Leger from Lewiston High, and the fourth seed was Alexa Stigman of Gray-New Glouster. In the first semi-final it was Becka Reynolds over Alexa Stigman, 169-157. In the second semi it was Brooke Leger over Macayla Donna, 173-170. In the finals it was Brooke Leger capturing her first title over Becka Reynolds, 204-174.

In the men's division the first seed went to Brandon Dubuc of Lewiston High, second seed to Justin Rollins of Messalonske, third seed to Troy Trombley of Brunswick High, and the fourth seed went to Eddie Kimball of Winslow High. In the first semi it was Eddie Kimball over Brandon Dubuc, 236-202. In the other semi it was Justin Rollins over Troy Trombley, 191-188. In the finals Eddie Kimball captured his second high school title, 224-181 over Justin Rollins.
