Lewiston Housing Authority presented Mary and Peggy McRae with a token of appreciation for their commitment to the residents of Blake Street Towers. For 10 years Mary and Peggy have organized community volunteers and CMMC staff, called Edie’s Angels, who collect food and household items and prepare and serve meals to the residents of Blake Street Towers. For many years Edie’s Angels have provided food baskets and a meal on Make A Difference Day in October. In addition, they often serve a community dinner in March and provide individual dinners at Thanksgiving and Christmas for those residents who may not be able to spend time with family. Pictured are Carla Harris, Peggy McRae, Shari LeTourneau, Mary McRae and James Dowling.
