The Phillips Circle for the Arts presented the Phillips Public Library with a check for $280 to support music lessons for area children. The lessons will be held in the new library annex where there are two pianos and other instruments available for lessons and practice. The donation represents the proceeds from the inaugural Phillips Christmas Tour of Homes, which was deemed a success for the first year of an event such as this, held in a small village. The check is being given to librarian Hedy Langdon, on the right, by Susy Sanders.
