WEST PARIS — Mission Congregational invites the public to come and ask questions about church in an informal setting.
Lifestyles have changed in the past 50 years, when going to church on Sunday was the norm. There are many reasons that people stray from the church: jobs, sporting events, divorce, not knowing anyone or just being too tired. At first, it's like going back to work or school after vacation, but soon it is a welcome part of the week.
The United Church of Christ is a place to feel at home, regardless of one's life situation. Children will benefit from interaction with seniors and those empty-nesters rejoice in experiencing the laughter and joy of children.
The church, on Church Street, welcomes people to join them at 6 p.m. on Wednesdays, Dec. 5, 12 and 19. Come for a bowl of warm soup and bread and take part in a conversation about how to make church a special part of Christmas this year.
