MEXICO — Once each month, the Sunday School children at the Mexico Congregational Church, United Church of Christ (the "Green Church") collect a "noisy offering" during the Sunday morning worship service.
The funds accumulated from pocket change dropped into tin cans have gone into a special account for the purpose of purchasing animals through Heifer International. The animals are provided to enrich the lives of families in developing countries.
On Oct. 14, the children at the Mexico church chose to use their fund to buy a cow, a sheep, a pig and flocks of chicks and ducks.
