The Mechanic Falls, Minot and Poland Tri-Town Optimist Club has named Allison Emery as the January RSU 16 Student of the Month recipient. Allison, an eighth-grader at Bruce Whittier Middle School, was selected for her model effort and attitude, willingness to take positive risks and outstanding school spirit. Allison has an ever-present positive attitude even in the presence of adversity. From left are teacher Erica Swenson, Allison Emery and club president Jeff Gagnon.
