AUBURN — Daryel Duhaime of Hebron has been elected president of the board of directors at Lewiston/Auburn Community Little Theatre. He visited the theater recently reviewing the renovation plans and is heavily involved in its fundraising projects.

A native of Massachusetts, Duhaime graduated from Salem State College with a business degree and earned his Massachusetts Brokers license. He opened Pillar Real Estate in Wakefield, Mass., which he still runs 19 years later.

He has been active in raising funds for many nonprofit organizations including the Massachusetts Breast Cancer Coalition and the Dana Farber Cancer Institute.

Duhaime moved to Maine five years ago and oversaw extensive renovations to the Greenwood Mountain Inn in Hebron, of which he is co-owner. He has become invested in the community, being a fifth level Grange member, director of fundraising for the Hebron Historical Society, member of the Literacy Board and a member of the Advisory Board at Hebron Academy.

Duhaime looks forward to leading CLT during this very important time in its 72-year history. The theater officials signed a 99-year lease agreement with the City of Auburn in August and have assumed responsibility for the east wing of the former Edward Little High School building. There is much to be done for improvement and maintenance while still providing quality live theater that the public has enjoyed for seven decades.
