The St. Dominic Academy first-grade class celebrated Thanksgiving by performing a class play on Nov. 22 . Mrs. Kathy Jalbert's students were busy during the month of November learning the story of the first Thanksgiving. Then, half of the class wrote their own story lines. The other half of the class worked on creating scenery for the play. Students made woven placemats and hats to be worn for their own feast held after the play. The play was called The First Thanksgiving. The students performing in the play as Pilgrims were Autumne Blais, Desiree Fournier, Laura Mockler and Camren Samson. Performing as Native Americans were Noah Girardin, Karsyn Siegel and Katryna Sullivan. Caleb Cloutier and Avery Mackenzie narrated and introduced the five different scenes. Students who helped with the scenery were Ella Caron, Caleb Cloutier, Kelsey Gagnon, Ava LePage, Leanna Mitri and Olivia Servidio. Parents and grandparents came to see the performance at the school and then joined their students for a feast.
