Museum L-A’s “Power of Music” Exhibit Planning Committee gathered recently for a meeting. From left are Mark Silber, Rachel Desgrosseilliers, Dale Chapman, Susan Beane, Edward Walworth, Jim Brown, Ed Boucher, Joan Beal, Kevin Callahan and Diane Williams. Not present were Myron Beasley, Bill Low, Ray Michaud and Anthony Shostak. The three-year, six-series exhibit will highlight the rich history of music in the Twin Cities. It will launch in late July with “The Power of Music: Photographic Portraits of Americans and their Musical Instruments, 1860-1915.” It will continue chronologically with five more exhibits through April 2015. The museum welcomes donations of photographs related to the history of music in the Lewiston-Auburn area. For example: musicians, music groups, bands, organizations, performances, parades, music halls and other venues. Contact Susan Beane at sbeane@museumla.org or 333-3881.
