The Jesus Party Patriotic Mentor Jerry Der Boghosian gave a special talk to 50 area children, recalling the tragic story of the sinking of the U.S.S. Dorchester as an ongoing project of the children's ministry to promote God and country. Der Boghosian focused on the bravery and faith of the four chaplains who were on board and sacrificed their own life preservers so others could be saved. The chaplains from various faith backgrounds joined arms, said prayers and sang hymns as they went down with the ship.
