Acoustic Sunset at Hacker's Hill
CASCO — Join Loon Echo Land Trust for an Acoustic Sunset at Hacker’s Hill from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, July 12.
The Swampdonkeys will perform a one-hour set of acoustic music on top of Hacker’s Hill while the sun sets beyond the White Mountains. Donation of $10 per person, $5 for children, will benefit the ongoing fundraising for Hacker’s Hill. Refreshments will be served. Rain date is July 13.
The gate at the bottom of the hill will open at 7 p.m. Music will begin at 7:30 p.m. and will end at sunset at 8:30.
Parking is available at the top of the hill and the open area allows for comfortable walking with wonderful views of the Lakes Region and White Mountains. For more information contact Loon Echo at 647-4352 or info@lelt.org.
Cow flap bingo winner
OXFORD — The winner of the Oxford Recreation Department's Cow Flap Bingo is Rodney Smith of Oxford.
Funds were raised from all who purchased tickets, as well as matching grant money from Deborah Wagemann of Modern Woodmen. Playgound equipment for Pismo Beach will be purchased with the proceeds.
Swingin' Bears Saturday dance
PARIS — The Swingin' Bears Square Dance Club is calling all square dancers to its Saturday night dance, July 14, at the Oxford Hills Middle School, Pine Street, from 7 to 10 p.m.
New graduates and advanced square dancers will have a treat dancing with Marty Van Watt who will call all levels of square dancing to fit the dancers. Carol Stewart of Augusta will cue the round dancing.
The event is also the annual Ice Cream Social. Ice cream and sundae fixings will be served at intermission. Admission is $6 per person. Casual dress. Door prizes, 50/50 drawing. Non-dancers are welcome to watch at no charge.

Waterford Library story time
WATERFORD — The Waterford Library is offering a weekly story time program Mondays at 10 a.m. beginning July 16 and continuing through August. It will be particularly appropriate for kids age 3 to 8.
