West Paris Baptist Church will host another in the regular concert series at 7 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 9, which is also Grandparents Day. Well known Gospel and country singer Sammie Angel will be the featured performer. She has worked with many greats such as Reba McIntire, Tammy Wynette and Sonny James. She toured with her own band “Sammie and Southwind” from Florida to New Mexico but moved back to Maine and currently gives concerts around New England. The church is on Church Street. Homemade pie will be served after the concert. The concert is free; a love offering will be taken. Sammie poses with some of the many angels that decorate her Front Porch Cafe, which she owns in Dixfield with her husband, Clint Bailey.
