Rehab Center open house
NORWAY — An open house will be held at Norway Rehab and Living Center, 29 Marion Ave., from 2 to 4 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 11. There will be refreshments and entertainment.
Chautauqua tent meeting
WATERFORD — The Waterford Historical Society will examine Chautauqua at its meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 13, upstairs in the Waterford Library.
Every summer the Chautauqua used to come to town and set up a tent on the Waterford Common. But Chautauqua was more than just a tent meeting. Learn about the town in New York and the artistic, educational and spiritual adventure that was launched there and which contributed to the history of Waterford.
There will be a film and potluck refreshments. There is no charge and all are invited.
Long term care seminar
PARIS — Edward Jones will host a long term care seminar at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 18, at the Western Maine Community College Center. Buffet dinner served. Contact Jessica Putnam at 743- 2041 in order to RSVP by Sept. 14.
