The Jesus Party Pentecostal Kids' Church, recipients of the 2012 Spirit of America Award, held a special Flag Day celebration. The ministry's Patriotic Mentor, Jerry Der Boghosian, talked about the origin of the American flag and led the children in the "Pledge of Allegiance," followed by the singing of "God Bless the U.S.A." by ministry director, Sonia Taylor. Snacks were then served to the 35 children in attendance. The Jesus Party promotes several God & Country events throughout the year.
