Girl Scout bean supper

PARIS — Girl Scout Troop 554 will hold a bean supper from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 27, at the VFW Hall.

The menu includes beans, hot dogs, cole slaw, corn bread and dessert.

The cost for adults is $5. Children 10 and under are $3. Proceeds will be used for the troop's trip to New York.

Chamber music at Hebron Academy

HEBRON — Hebron Academy will present an evening of premier chamber music at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 2, during the Cohen Concert series, at the Hebron Academy's Lepage Center for the Arts, 309 Paris Road.

The concert series brings world class classical musicians to the Hebron campus to perform for students and the public for free. The first of three in this school year's series will feature elite instrumentalists Jan Muller-Szeraws on the cello and Adam Golka on the piano.

Infant CPR classes slated

NORWAY — The Family Birthplace at Stephens Memorial Hospital will offer an Infant CPR class from 8:30 to 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 3, in the Harper Conference Center in the Ripley Medical Office Building, 193 Main St.

Learn the skills to do CPR and choking rescue on an infant up to the age of one year. This is a hands-on experience with manikins providing an opportunity to practice skills.

Fee is $10 per person. Preregistration with payment is required. To register or for more information contact The Family Birthplace at 743-1562, ext. 6951.

Elmwood Cemetery meeting

OTISFIELD — The Annual Meeting of The Elmwood Cemetery Association will be held at the East Otisfield Baptist Church at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 3.

Veterans Home craft fair

PARIS — A craft fair will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 3, at Maine Veterans Home, 477 High St. The refreshment counter will be open.

Roast turkey dinner Nov. 3

PARIS — A roast turkey dinner with all the fixings and homemade pies will be held at 5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 3, at Deering Memorial Methodist Church, Main and Church streets.

The cost for adults is $8. Children under 12 are $4.

There is ample parking behind the library and Town Office.
