The Veteran Riders and the Ladies Auxiliary of American Legion Post 31, 426 Washington St., Auburn, proudly provided 30 complete meals to the Lewiston Vet Center on Westminster Street, Lewiston, for veterans in the Lewiston-Auburn area. This is an ongoing endeavor showing the support for veterans by veterans. Bob Evans, general manager of the Vet Center, said, "Unlike last year when the Post 31 Veteran Riders were our number one provider, this year they are our only provider" of Thanksgiving cheer for veterans in need at the Vet Center. The center staff distributed the food to veterans and their families who are having tough times. For more information, call American Legion Post 31 at 783-6992.
