RUMFORD — Mexico High School Class of 1953 will meet at the River Valley Grill at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 2.
Texas hold 'em tourney Jan. 5
HARRISON — A Texas hold'em tournament will be held from 1 to 6 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 5, at the VFW Hall, 176 Waterford Road.
The entry fee is $80. Limited to 100 players. Doors will open at 11:30 a.m. Refreshments will be available.
Proceeds will be used to provide community services by the Lion's Club.
Marlee Johnston ski race Jan. 5
KENTS HILL — The 8th annual Marlee Johnston Memorial Alpine Ski "Race to Remember" will take place Saturday, Jan. 5, at Kents Hill Alpine Ski Center, just off of Route 41.
The day celebrates Marlee's zest for life and provides kids with the thrill of shushing down the slopes. Non-skiers are also welcome.
There will be hot dogs, burger, sausage bombs, Pepper's chili and hot chocolate, and a lot of Fayette community baked cookies and brownies. The event starts at 10 a.m. and finishes around 2 p.m.
