LEWISTON — Androscoggin Home Care & Hospice is offering programs this winter to provide information and support to adults and youth in central and western Maine grieving the death of a loved one.

Program sessions help participants understand the grief process, share feelings and experiences and find hope and comfort. All programs are led by trained bereavement volunteers and/or professional grief facilitators and are offered at no cost to participants.

Lewiston/Auburn

Adults: Guidance through Grief, Hospice House in Auburn, Wednesdays 2 to 3:30 p.m. for eight weeks beginning Jan. 16. Requires preregistration.

Guidance through Grief, The Dempsey Center in Lewiston, Tuesdays 6 to 7:30 p.m. for eight weeks beginning Jan. 15. Requires preregistration.

Adults: Bereavement after Suicide Group, Androscoggin Home Care & Hospice in Lewiston, Tuesdays 5:30 to 7 p.m. for eight weeks beginning Jan. 15. Requires preregistration.

Wilton

Children: Program for Grieving Children and Teens will offer ongoing sessions for youth ages 3 to 18. Call the Bereavement Office for more information, 795-9468. Requires preregistration. 

Norway

Adult: Pathways through Grief, Tuesdays 6 to 7:30 p.m. for eight weeks  beginning Jan. 15. Requires preregistration.
