OXFORD — As part of their youth outreach program, the Sons of the American Legion will host a fourth-, fifth- and sixth-grade dance from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 1, at the Anderson-Staples American Legion Hall on King Street.
The cost is $4. Doors open at 5:30 p.m.
The dance is open to students in the Oxford Hills area as well as Poland and Mechanic Falls. Attendance is limited to 250 dancers.
Music will be provided by TJ the DJ with a light show. Refreshments will be available. There also willbe contests and door prizes.
The dance will be chaperoned by the local senior Girl Scout troops from the area to help them meet their community service obligation along with Girl Scout leaders and Sons.
Some of the proceeds will be donated to Girl Scout troops and to help sponsor a student to go to the Boys State/Girls State in the spring.
