Workshop on budgeting to be offered

LEWISTON —  The Lewiston-Auburn CA$H Coalition will host a workshop on "Living on a Tight Budget . . . How Do I Get Ahead?" from 9 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 26, at the Lewiston Public Library, Callahan Hall, 200 Lisbon St. Numerous speakers will provide helpful advice for household budgets.

After a 9 a.m. welcome, the program will include "How Do I Weatherize My Home?" at 9:15 a.m. with  Hal Barter, Auburn Community Development Block Grant rehab coordinator; and "Eating Nutritionally on a Cost-Effective Grocery Budget" at 9:45 a.m. with Denise Dill, community cooking educator at St. Mary’s Nutrition Center.

After the 10:15 a.m. break, the program will continue as follows:

10:30 a.m., "Being Financially Fit!" with Lynda Jones, Key Bank East Avenue branch manager.

11 a.m., "Couponing: It Makes a Difference!" with Diana Grimmel, enrollment coordinator at Androscoggin Head Start & Child Care.

11:30 a.m., "I Need a Better Job: Where Do I Begin?" with Cathy Stairs, employment specialist at The Career Center.
