SAN ANTONIO, Texas — Air Force Airman Danielle A. Patrie and Air Force Airman Carson W. McKay graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base.

The airmen completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness and basic warfare principles and skills.
Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.
Patrie is the daughter of Andrew Patrie of Cary Hill Road, Hartford, and Buffy Ward of Maple Acres, Waterford. She is a 2012 graduate of Buckfield Junior/Senior High School.
McKay is the son of Karen Swan of Pine Street, and grandson of Bill Swan of Main Street, both of Andover. He is a 2012 graduate of Telstar High School, Bethel.
