LEWISTON — Maine Music Society invites the public to attend its 16th annual wine-tasting fundraiser, "Come Taste the Wine," on Sunday, Feb. 12, at the Franco-American Heritage Center.
Guests will learn about wine choices and pairings to complement a variety of foods, including desserts. They may also enjoy hors d’oeuvres prepared by Rolly's Diner, Wei Li Restaurant, The Bread Shack and other local restaurants.
A raffle will be held for dinner and other gift certificates as well as a gourmet wine basket filled with offerings from area merchants.
The event will be held from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. in Heritage Hall at the center, 46 Cedar St. Tickets, $20 in advance/$25 at the door, may be purchased by calling LA Arts at 782-7228 or visiting www.mainemusicsociety.com.
Proceeds will support programs of the Maine Music Society, now celebrating its 20th year.
Upcoming concerts include "My Favorite Mozart," to be performed by the Androscoggin Chorale and Maine Music Society Orchestra on March 31 and April 1 at the Franco center.
