PORTLAND — Clarinetist Dave Bennett, one the foremost interpreters of Benny Goodman’s classic musical sound, will perform with the Portland Symphony Orchestra on Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 25-26.
The PSO Pops! tribute to the King of Swing will begin at 7:30 p.m. Saturday and 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Merrill Auditorium.
Featured songs will include "These Foolish Things," "I Got Rhythm," "Let’s Dance" and "Sing, Sing, Sing." The orchestra will be led by guest conductor Teresa Cheung.
Tickets, ranging from $20 to $65, are available by calling 842-0800, logging on to www.porttix.com or visiting the PortTix box office at 20 Myrtle St., Monday through Saturday, from noon to 6p.m.
